Welcome To

Ardmore

Residents live in a friendly, warm, and welcoming environment at Ardmore.

Welcome to Ardmore

A desirable small town with an urban feel, and lots to do.

On the west side of Philadelphia sits the delightful Ardmore, a suburb that is consistently ranked among the best suburbs in the area and country alike. Originally known as Athensville in reference to the Greek Revival architecture-style movement, the town was renamed Ardmore by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1873.

The trendiest real estate in Ardmore is close to the thriving Suburban Square, at the heart of the Main Line. Ardmore has a variety of property types including condos, row houses, cottages, and luxury listings. You’ll also find a range of architectural styles, from the charming renovated Federal and Colonial reminiscent of the Old World, to modern contemporary.

What to Love

People & Lifestyle

Residents live in a friendly, warm, and welcoming environment at Ardmore. With so much to do, along with quiet neighborhoods, it’s a great place to raise a family. The short 30-minute drive to the city of Philadelphia is also quite convenient, and residents love the perks of living close to the big city.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Ardmore has several tasty restaurant options. Tired Hands Brewing Company is known for their uniquely-brewed American ales and Belgian-inspired Saisons with bold, unique flavors. While their beer is the star of the show, you’ll also very much enjoy their tasty food items, which include sandwiches, burgers, sides, and appetizers. The go-to place for Mexican cuisine is definitely El Limon. Their menu of traditional dishes like tacos, tortas, enchiladas, tamales, and more are most certainly best accompanied with one of their margaritas. For a quick but freshly delicious meal, you’ll love Poké Ono. Hawaiian-inspired poké bowls made with fresh ingredients.

Ardmore is home to one of America’s original outdoor shopping centers, Suburban Square. This center opened in 1928, and it’s where you’ll do all your shopping. Suburban Square is modern and cool, with a handful of local businesses as well as trendy retailers such as Lululemon, Free People, Peter Millar, and Urban Outfitters. You can also get active! Catch a class at SOULCYCLE or drop by the Life Time Athletic fitness club. For a shopping break or post-fitness class, you can relax in the courtyard or attend one of the many community events like Taste of the Market and live music concerts.

Things to Do

Never mind that Ardmore is a small town – there’s always something to do here. Sing and dance to your favorite musicians at Ardmore Music Hall, one of the premier independent music venues in the Northeast for national tours. At this concert venue, all music tastes are welcome, as they host a variety of programming ranging from rock & roll to funk, jam, roots, adult contemporary, hip hop, Americana, and more.

At Ardmore, locals enjoy a wide range of events throughout the year. There’s the ever-popular Ardmore Restaurant Week, a two-week celebration of the Ardmore dining scene in which participating restaurants offer unique, prix-fixe menus and drink specials. Locals also love Ardmore Farmers Market at Suburban Square. Last, but certainly not least, eat, drink, and sing at the annual Ardmore Oktoberfest, where you’ll enjoy live music, great beer, and tasty food on site.

Play-a-Round Golf offers indoor golf year-round for people of all ages with over 80 golf courses, in a friendly and relaxed environment. It’s perfect both for an evening of fun or to hone those golf skills with their pro golf lessons.
